Application: Dosage
- Vegetables
- ( 0.6 - 2.0 ml/Litre water)
- 200-250 litre per acre
- 10 – 30 ppm Aza final dosage.

Red Palm Weevil
( RPW ), Rhynchophorus ferrugineus ( Olivier ) is the most
dangerous and deadly pest of date, coconut, oil, sage and other
palms.

METHODS OF
CONTROL

Biological
control :
|
|
A formulation
of a Herbal Extract called PH 111 Cl. This is a formulation of
0.36% Alkaloids, 0.38% of Peganine extract, 0.35% Anabasine, 0.5%
Saponine and 7% Plant Based Fats.

How does it
act on Red Palm Weevil ?
|
|
This
formulation will control Red Palm Weevil pupa by stomach
poisoning.
|
|
|
|
Application
:
|
|
Dissolve
One litre of PH 111 Cl in 1000 litres of water along with 250 gms
of raw sugar ; stir the mixture vigorously 100 times clockwise and
100 times anticlockwise. Spray on Insect / affected part of the
palm tree. If the insect population is more repeat the application
after third day.
Trapping
the Weevils can be done another special formula developed to
reduce the weevil population.
We
have another herbal formulation in powder form. Mix up half kg of
this powder in 300 ml of water to make it slurry and pour it in
the 5 ltr of bucket with the lid with a hole good enough for the
entry of the insects. Tie the bucket to the trunk of the plant.
After second day this slurry gets fermented and attracts insects.
Remove the insects and kill it. Change it once in a 15 days. For
one acre 2 Buckets are enough.
